Samantha, the Argentine Boa...
Sams coloring is pretty much like the picture on the right...cool eh?
Yes, Sam is an
Argentine Boa. And, yes, she does (okay...after months of not knowing...Sam is a SHE) get annoyed when you try to
pick her up if she is in her hide box (but good luck on trying to get her back in her cage after taking her out lol...can be a little tricky)...or if she is asleep and you don't wake her up first.
But we think most humans are like that too...so she is "spunky"...and very
beautiful. We aquired her from a local pet store (they didn't think they would
sell her...and that was okay with them...she was one of their favorites!!) Sam is a dark
boa...she has the red tail that is pretty common with boas...but she has pink lines along
her body and at times looks "purple" or dark blue. We estimate that she is
nearly a year old.
Argentines may not get as long/big as "red tails"and although much literature states that Aregnetines tend to be tempermental...well...it all depends on how you treat them. As that is with anyone or any animal. Sam is a sweetheart...even at the vets...all those interesting smells..lol!! =0) We will be posting pictures of Sam soon
